Poop/Scat Soft Plastic for Bass Lures

Poop/Scat soft plastic, also referred to as poop baits, or scat baits, or poop stick baits, or scat stick baits, or gravity baits, or heavy baits known as being heavier and denser than other soft plastics thus increasing fall rate. 

Why are Poop/Scat Soft Plastics Important?

Poop/scat soft plastics are important to:   

  • Mimic Forage: No common understanding of what poop/scat soft plastic mimic albeit some suggest it might mimic shad.

  • Skipped: Due the profile the poop/scat soft plastic can be skipped.
  • Hook Size: Due to the width of the soft plastic a larger hook is required when texas-rigged.
