About Us

Acute Angler was created as a research project to develop a comprehensive framework for bass fishing, supported by videos and articles from experts. This ongoing project is led by Terry McQuay, a retired entrepreneur. The goals include creating and enhancing a website that can:

  • Answer the Question, “What is Bass Fishing?” as a sport.
The sport of bass fishing can be complex, and this website addresses its intricacies directly, while providing a structured approach to educate without oversimplifying the sport.
  • Support Educators
Experts in bass fishing can use the website and its supporting infographics to help teach the sport to interested individuals.
  • Assist New Anglers
The website is designed to help those new to bass fishing, whether they’re learning before their first trip, out on the water, or in the store trying to understand what to buy next. (All products listed are for example purposes only. Acute Angler does not endorse any products, nor do we receive any remuneration from manufacturers.)
  • Provide Tournament Watchers Viewing Aids
The Acute Angler quick search function and infographics are designed to help viewers of bass fishing tournaments quickly look up terminology used during broadcasts. Example tournaments
