  • Common Sizes: Common sizes are from 2 to 5 inch with the larger sizes more common in low lure visibility scenarios.
  • Distinguishing Features: Craw soft plastics feature two large craws, to which they get it name, plus they often have smaller appendages on the body.
  • Enabling Lure Action: Craw soft plastic generally enables lures to vibrate as they swim or descend.
  • Vibration: The two large craws will create action that vibrates and is one of the major differentiators between craws.
    • Large Pincers: The craws with the larger pincers will have the most drag creating a larger vibration some suggest best for low lure visibility scenarios.
    • Fish Fast:  Small pincers have less vibration allowing for faster retrieves.
  • Pincer Dip: Some suggest dipping the pincers in some colorful and potentially scented liquid to enhance the craw’s visibility.
